Chioma F. Ude is a Nigerian-born, Spain-based fashion designer, the founder and creative director of Styleville by Oma.
Her passion for fashion and art began at a very young age. Raised in a home filled with the hum of an old Butterfly sewing machine, Chioma watched her mother, a dedicated dressmaker, transform fabric into elegant pieces while warmly attending to her clients. As a child, she often played creatively with leftover fabric scraps, making miniature dresses for her dolls with just a hand needle and imagination.
In her early teens, her mother recognized her budding creativity and encouraged her to learn dressmaking professionally. But Chioma, with dreams of becoming a lawyer, resisted, unaware that life had already begun to shape her true path. Still, she found herself helping with tasks like cutting lace appliqués and hand-beading, drawn to the magic of the creative process.
While studying Mass Communication at university, her interest in fashion deepened. She began designing her own clothes and seriously considered turning her passion into a brand. Hungry to learn more, she took professional courses in dressmaking and fashion business. The thrill of bringing her own designs to life proved too strong to ignore.
In 2014, while still an undergraduate, Chioma officially launched Styleville by Oma and opened her first studio, designing part-time while finishing her degree.
After graduating in 2017, she pursued fashion full-time and never looked back.
Today, together with a small but dedicated team, Styleville by Oma has created countless designs and dressed women from around the world. Each piece reflects Chioma’s signature blend of elegance, boldness, and soulful creativity.
“Being a fashion designer is more than a career, it’s my calling. There’s something so empowering about envisioning a design and bringing it to life with my own hands. I’m passionate about crafting pieces that help women express their individuality with grace and confidence.
I put my heart into this art.” ❤️
